I just did a test on a DJI source file with no effects applied on a 10 min clip. Cpu time for a 7900x with 128gb using NVME Samsung 970 drives took 20:45 The exact same using nvenc hardware enabled took 2:47. The file size is very similar, I can’t see any difference in visual quality for the export. The bit rate was 65 on export. Video card is a titan Xp for anyone that wants to know. Crazy improvement.

This is a HUGE update for NVIDIA and Premiere Pro! Can't wait for the public update. Thanks for sharing Armando. 🙌

I've been having extreme issues whenever I export to the point I have to select software only and that takes FOREVER ! So I'm definitely going to try this out THANK YOU !!

I've never had many problems with Adobe stuff but awesome to see them pushing out updates for things like this

What a great update! I'll have to check it out!
Although one thing I noticed, (2:13)when before clip is exported in 10 minutes and after clip is exported in 6 minutes, that's not 60% faster! More like 40% ;)
2:50 similar thing, 21min5sec and 25min25sec is not over 20%, it's more like 17.1% 😉

Just found out Adobe will be publishing the update tomorrow (May 19, 2020) if you want to play around with it you can always download beta.

It's weird but my Premiere Pro got really snappy with the last update before this one... It loaded up quicker, playback got smoother, fewer dropped frames, no lagging and closes immediately... I'm not complaining, I'll take it. And today I just updated to latest version, did a render test with an old project and got a 40% faster render!... nice! so as of right now, Premiere Pro is running amazing! (for me at least)... I also noticed some better performance in After Effects, looks like Adobe is getting it together... please don't mess it up with the next update, Adobe!

Hardware acceleration is going to jump even more with the release of new GPUs towards the end of the year and next year. This is a major update for those who have been waiting for Adobe. This should trickle down to their other products as well.

Thanks, great vid. It’s enabled myself to produce great looking 4 k vids using ultra key and colour corrections, multiple clips on my 9 year old pc with ease. I just updated to gtx graphics card a few weeks ago and this has blown me away.

Hi! Please tell me which keyboard you have on the table in this video? I liked it very much. In the list of equipment you have indicated another, thanks in advance!

This latest update is awesome. I’ve also noticed that the timeline is even more smooth with Panasonic s1h h.265 5.9k footage too, but still testing and could be imagining it lol.

Cuda cores, the more you have the better the results. Been a long time coming but worth the wait.

question, how does this compare with Intel QuickSync? if there are replacement, I guess the big improvement would be for people using AMD CPUs but Nvidia GPU.
