Pediatric Neurological examination

In this video we will demonstrate an approach to examination that will highlight key
techniques and allow you to feel comfortable examining children with neurologic
concerns.
There are 6 components of a neurologic exam that we will review.
These are:
1. the systemic exam
2. mental status
3. cranial nerves
4. the motor exam
5. the sensory exam and
6. the cerebellar exam, including observation of gait.
How much time and detail is dedicated to each area varies with the presenting complaint.
