I have owned both the 2020 4K Google Chromecast with Google TV and the 2020 Amazon 4K Firestick. Like you I settled on the Firestick because it allowed me to cast the screen of my treadmill to my TV. The Google product allows casting, but not with my particular treadmill. I can assure you the 2020 Google Chromecast can download apps from the Google store and keep them locally on the device. You do not need another device to operate it. In any event, they are similar and you’ve made a great choice, but I thought I’d correct the first part of your video.

Question ? is this the new version of fire stick? My Version is from 2019 I don't even remember the version. Ok when you double click on the fire stick a little circle or cursor is supposed to appear on the screen and you can use that cursor to reach unreachable areas of the tv screen. I'm not sure if I'm explaining that right... but my fire stick won't do that anymore. When I double click it I think it's play button you double click? I tried to forward button... I tried the back button..
double click I tried double clicking all the buttons on the fire stick and none of them would bring up the cursor. it used to but it stopped. So I'm hoping when I buy this 4K version it's the new version for 2021 or will at least function better than the one I have.

I have cable tv at home but it’s only connected to the tv downstairs, when I connect this to my bedroom tv will I have access to cable tv?

BTW Lewis T. When quoting the clearance between your TV housing and the fire stick you said half a centimetre (5mm) which is plenty. Did you mean half a millimetre?
