Prosecutor under fire after charging 2 officers for assault

Spiteful, petty and punitive. Three words hurled at Cleveland’s city prosecutor after charging two officers with assaulting people in handcuffs.

The prosecutor in this situation is spot on and should be commended for her diligence in making sure that police officers are held accountable for their actions. It is clear that the union and the top brass don't see anything wrong with the actions that they sanctioned. Too often, officers abuse citizens after they are already restrained and pose no threat to the officers or the community. If a citizen does exactly what these officers did to someone that they were defending themselves from, that citizen would be appropriately charged too. Accountability on all levels is a must.

Finally a prosecutor not scared to crack some nuts.They look like dirty cops.I wonder what else inside there personnel files and how many citizen complaints they have.That prosecutor knows something.There's more than a few bad apples.Its an entire orchard in that police department including there union.

Risk is a fact of life.
I keep hearing risking their lives and on the other hand, I hear officer's firing their weapon because they feared for their lives when later it was shown there was no threat...
We all risk our lives in daily activities and even when loaded weapons are aimed at us during traffic stops.
We risk serving in the military or operating heavy equipment.
It's when you don't accept the risk that it's time to find a safer occupation.
Abusing citizens in custody is against the law...
Police don't get to give arrested the Keystone Cops Paddy Wagon treatment so they look "pretty" for their mugshots.
Then hide behind qualified immunity when they get caught.
