Here's a quick look at the Ozark Trail Two-Burner Propane Camp Stove. During a recent trip to watch the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, we used this new camp stove to cook some burgers on our griddle.
The Ozark Trail Camp Stove is compact, convenient, and produces some great heat, with 10,000 BTUs per burner, for a total of 20,000 BTUs. We also used the stove to heat up 2 quarts of cold, 40-degree soup - and it only took 5 minutes to get the soup piping hot. The burgers did not take long either, to gain a hot sear, and complete cooking.
This stove also features two wind screen on both ends, to significantly reduce the wind flow or put out the burners. The brass supply arm is easy to attach to the propane tank and keeps the overall size somewhat compact.
This stove is great for tailgating at sporting events or outdoor locations, perfect for hunting, fishing or camping in remote locations, or use at family reunions where quick food cooking is desired.
One thing I wish they did better on the stove, was to make the grilling surface tighter, rather than with wider open grate layout, where food could easily fall off the grill grate. This could be better. But when using the griddle, or a pot or fry pan - the current grill grate works just fine.
