Why are the Ties not bent. As per my knowledge they should be bent between 90° and 135 °. 135° bends are considered the best for providing structural stability especially when you consider long term affects / wear & tear / Environmental affects.

Not according to IS 13920:1993, Lap zone is not allowed at that location, hook should be 135' bend with 10d projection.
