All of Me was written in 1931 by Seymour Simons and Gerald Marks and has since become a popular jazz standard, especially among gypsy jazz guitar players.

The song is suitable for beginners because of its slow harmonic movement (most chords last two bars).

In this lesson, you will analyze the chords of All of Me, learn how to play the melody, and how to solo over its chord changes.

I'm a slow learner and this is my first solo on electric guitar since I bought one and started to learn how to hold the plectrum (this lesson just changed the game for good!). Dirk, that was one of the best, most informative lessons on a great Standard I have ever seen! Everything was there, melody, Harmonic analysis, scales, recommended versions to listen to etc. You definitely set the bar very high with this lesson for great lessons. I know this has to be a lot of work but hope there are more of these in the future. That moved this standard to the top of my list to work on Next. Thank you very much! Thanks Jazz Guitar Online;with your demonstration with chords guide i may be able to easily plays tunes. Especially this song "All of Me its easy for me to pluck the strings withyour actual demo.
