Alot of people interprets this song as "emptiness" which could leave a negative point of view.

In my opinion, this song is about being alive by conquering all your inner demons and taking control of it, or using the powers of your demons to win the battle of life. "All your demons are rattling chains." YES! Theyre just rattling chains and YOU are the one holding them!

"Welcome to a world of pain." Symbolizes unrelenting courage that knows no surrender. You welcome the pain because you can tackle the difficulties of it like it's just a normal day. Youre not displaying cowardice by running away from it but would rather endure, adapt and learn from it.
