TOEFL Reading: How I Improved My Reading Score From 3 To 27

I took the TOEFL home edition test in May 2020. I got a 100 at the first time taking the test, and I got a 27 in reading. After taking the test, I find that TOEFL reading is difficult for a lot of people. On my first mock exam, I only got 3 points in TOEFL reading. How did I improve my reading score from 3 to 27? I don't believe that you got 3 points out of 30 points. Even if you choose answers randomly you could get more :) And you can not improve your english from 3 to 27. But thanks for advices!

I’m glad to hear that you improved tremendously. I don’t know if it’s a problem with my work ethic of intelligence. But I’ve taken the TOEFL on three occasions. Each time I didn’t get the score I wanted. I got my reading and listening scores today. R-15, L-17. I got a 23 last time. Truly if the TOEFL was simply an assessment of your language abilities why does it cover stuff that have high correlation with test taking such as multiple choice. Wouldn’t strategy be secondary and the language skills that comes to itself. Perhaps I’m ignorant. I’m sorry for been moody, I just disappointed my parents. But worse of all myself.
