Castle S3E12 - Ending of Poof! You're Dead

Castle breaks up with his ex-wife Gina and Beckett walks in on the news.

Given the simplicity of Castle in general, I love the layers in this scene. Castle breaks up with Gina because he realises in this episode that he doesn't just fancy Beckett, he's actually in love with her. And Beckett (true to character) spent the episode avoiding the subject of his tumultuous love life and brushing off people who wouldn't, because she is a private person and respects the privacy of others. She's sad for him here, and pushes aside her own conflictions simply to be kind to him.

You could clearly see on Beckett’s face here that when she overheard Castle’s conversation with Gina it was actually about her and why they broke up and the way she reacted proved how much she really truly does love Richard and always has been she doesn’t need to say anything the look she gave says literally everything SHE’S COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH RICHARD 😍
