I-Team: Senators call for investigation into Hertz

Hundreds of customers have claimed Hertz falsely accused them of car theft for vehicles they paid for. Now two U.S. senators say it's 'inexcusable' and have urged the FTC to open an investigation.

That's an awful awful awful experience. Hertz is a criminal business and needs to be put out of business because this has been hundreds of arrest. I'm also irritated that dozens of Police Officers pulled out guns on one individual for a supposed stolen vehicle. That's another issue that Congress needs to regulate.

For all the people that were falsely arrested they are screwed. That progressed will still remain on your record and is shared with the FBI regardless if it's a false arrest or not you are still in their system as being arrested. This process cannot be reversed. No amount of money can compensate for this this could destroy you for the rest of your life. It can stop you from getting a job renting an apartment and other things having an arrest record

They are a rip off business. they also charge drivers who are renting to drive 1200 a month to rent. and you can only rent from them. I have twice been hit in their cars and the air bags never work. Gig Drivers are being forced to rent cars that are unsafe.
