THANK GOD THEY STILL HAVE THE FOOT SHIFT; I thought they did away with em!! I drove a couple newer ones with the electronic thumb shift and HATED them vs my 1998 fourtrax 300. The electric shifts think way too much (very laggy). I love feeling the torque from foot shifts so thank god!

I think I’ve decided on one of these. Looks like a great entry level wheeler. I prefer something that isn’t enormous on the trails. And foot shift!

Edit: Honda still uses straight axles because they have a greater tow capacity compared to IRS and it is also less likely to break.

Just FYI, the owners manuals says to NOT be moving when shifting 2WD/4WD. I just bought one today and I have the manual in my hand. Just so people know.

Just bought 2021 model. saved big bucks in 2022, trying to rid of there stock. I LOVE my Rancher no complaints. You get what you pay for. Great piece of machinery!

I ended up getting a 2022 basically identical to this one shown. LOVE IT! Just one of the best ATV's made.

I'm still riding my 2012 rancher 4x4 with power steering foot shift.
I've replaced the bearings and seals in both the front and rear...also new ball joints...and a parking brake cable...and fuel filter....and brakes front and back.
Other than that....still runs like new

Have a 2005 es rancher, with ITP tires, goes everywhere I want, have carried bull elk out of canyons, and mule deer out whole .coldest days starts right up, low center of gravity .

Been deciding on a new 2023 rancher 4x4 or a CanAm outlander 450…it’s a tossup right now. Leaning toward the CanAm but hard to beat Honda reliability

I’m getting a brand new 2020, 4x4 electric power steering with a foot shift for $6500 out the door. Friday can’t come quick enough.
