Lake Placid is beautiful. It's a small town, but it has a lot to be proud of; it hosted the 1932 & 1980 Winter Olympics. More recently, it produced Lana Del Rey, who grew up there.

This is one of the best places on earth! My family used to come here for my sister's skating competitions. We used to stay at the Golden arrow :)

I see the street and sidewalk revitalization is basically complete. I was there in July’21 when it was in full swing.

In addition to the 1980 Winter Olympics the 1932 Winter Olympics were held here.

I lived in Lake Placid years ago and some things have changed but I noticed that Roomers and Bazzi's Pizza is still there.

Road the bikes there years ago, beautiful place. If you stay at a hotel on Main St. through a weekend it will be loud deep into the night ... just saying

Not positive but I think lake Placid hosted earlier Olympics …there were old dormitories when I visited there in the early 80’s.
