I wasn't planning on watching TROS after TLJ, but once I heard Jodie was playing Rey's mom, I saw the film at the cinema the next day.

This just infuriates me further. There was so much potential for an awesome story. Like Palpatine had a son?! That's interesting! Even more, he's not evil like his father and cared more about family than the dark-side. The Force Awakens would've been awesome if Rey's parents were the protagonists and Ochi the villain, a tense and emotional movie about two parents trying to raise their child despite being on the run. There was so much potential. Thank God we now have competent writers like Favreau and Filoni helping to set the series right.
