I read about Princess Gayathri Devi long time ago in The Hindu. The article talked about her beauty, luxorious lifestyle, etc. but didn't touch her rivalry with IG & her arrest during emergency. Thanks for revealing the political life of Rāņi Gayatri Devi.

As a Koch I am proud to have had a princess like Gayatri devi. I’ve read her book A Princess Remembers and oh how strongly influenced I was, also Gayatri devi’s mother Indira devi… an incredibly strong woman and for me they will be the epitome of elegance grace and beauty ❤

Gayatri Devi also funded and supervised a lot of charitable project for the poor, and worked towards upliftment of women and children. She pioneered several girls' school in Jaipur to educate and empower women making them self-reliant. She gave unprecedented courage to the generations ahead to step out of 'purdah'. By promoting the art of 'blue pottery' she helped revive the lost art.

I love your videos. Our generation grew up learning the cosmetic whitewashed history which was not true. Powerful people write the history and made us believe many things. I love seeing your stories and the truth

History wasn't an interesting subject for me in my school days because I was very poor in remembering dates. But I find your videos interesting because you don't teach history as history lessons but tell story. And stories are always interesting.

As a matter of fact, even my alma mater has some memories with regards to this emergency. A fourth year mechanical engineering student was kidnapped from his own hostel during this time, and no one knew until much later what happened to him! In his memory we started our cultural fest- ragam.(His name was Rajan)
