If you know python then you can do much more than what is capable in power query. And it processes much faster. But i like knowing each of them depending on the use application.

Just do 1 button click to update pivot table with n csv files with 1million lines each and wait just for several hours using power query. Good advice, i like to chill instead of work.

You seriously comparing power query (not even dax or M) which is microsoft only to a universal SQL language what MS also uses and to python? ... Wow.. i would love to see people combine 1000 excel files and see Power Query crash the application while python can combine it with just straight coding.
