Oh, Lisa. Between you and Lori, I just want it all! Great finds at your small flea market. The red embroidery piece is gorgeous--would make a great center for a table topper with some Blackbird fabric blocks surrounding it! Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful holiday season. I’m always so inspired by your projects Lisa. I wish I had more time to quilt as those fabrics are amazing. I would use those old metal hoops to make little wreaths for Christmas decorating - I think they would look fab. Happy thanksgiving 😄

So great to hear about all your fun and see all the beautiful things! That table cloth is incredible, and what a great idea to make it into a quilt. I learned how to stitch using a metal hoop just like those, I think my mom may still have hers. I would caution against using them to stitch with. I pulled out some old quilts and linens the other day to give them some air and re-fold the quilts. In the pile of things we’re stamped pillowcases that I had stitched thirty years ago in high school. Each one has curved, rust colored lines where the hoop touched the fabric. The fabric is just white cotton and they’re stitched with DMC so I can wash them, but not sure yet whether the rust marks will come out. I hope they do. I would hate to see that happen on a linen that had been hand dyed and stitched with over dyed floss😮. Very cool find and so fun to add to a stitchy collection.
