Zur guten Tradition über die Jahrtausende geworden, finden alljährlich um die Jahreswende Benefizkonzerte zugunsten der Vorarlberger Krebshilfe statt. Die 17. Ausgabe der Musikalischen Festspiele im Dienste der Volksgesundheit stand 2016/17 unter dem Motto: MADE IN UK!

Every year around christmas, musicians from Austria and Switzerland gather to play three gigs at two prominent locations in Vorarlberg (Austria) to the benefit of the local cancer relief foundation. Initiated in 1999 by Michael "Mickey" Köhlmeier and Reinhold "Ray" Bilgeri under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Gebhard Mathis, the band grew a little every year to the fancy orchestra it is today. Every show since the beginning had it's own motto. 2016/2017 it was "MADE IN UK".
100% of the revenues of these events and donations collected at the venues are donated directly to the Cancer Relief foundation of Vorarlberg.
Thanks to all the participating sound engineers, stagehands, lighting technicians, to the video- and audio recording crew and everbody at the "Altes Kino" Rankweil and the "Spielboden" Dornbirn. And of course thanks to all the great musicians for spreading the good christmas vibrations and playing outstanding concerts.
Very special thanks to the undisputed frontman of the band, master of ceremony and Jack of all Trades: Bernie Weber for keeping it up for 17 years in support to fight cancer, making the world a better place!
