Former President Donald Trump has asked an appeals court to overturn a judge’s order for former Vice President Mike Pence to appear before a federal grand jury investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol, according to multiple reports, even though earlier attempts to keep aides from testifying have repeatedly failed.

First of all Trump ain't asking for sh*t. His lawyers are and they are in the business of protecting the legal rights of their clients. They will look to block any "new" evidence or testimony because the case should be based on what's already available. Or there shouldn't be any case.
