Diablo 3 RoS: The Hellfire Amulet - Is it Any Good? (Patch 2.1.0 PTR)

Patch 2.1.0 brings with it a new craftable legendary item - the Hellfire Amulet. This ammy rolls with random affixes and one random Passive Skill from your class. I had a chance to craft one on the PTR and in this video I talk about whether it's any good!

They are potentially good if you manage to roll main stat/CHC/CHD and be able to reroll the 4th stat into the element you need... or a socket for leg gems... AS WELL as have that one passive that is most universally used on your class. Like say, Finery for Crusaders or Blur for Wizards or At One With Everything for Monks (called Harmony now, does a similar thing), not sure about other classes tho, haven't played them much.

But this at least would offer you a "Jack Of All Trades" amulet, with the potential of being re-rollable to elemental% type or socket as well as having a "Jack Of All Trades" 5th passive.

I noticed that the passive affix doesn't say "Demon Hunter Only."  Have you tested this amulet on another class to see if you can use that passive?

BTW Ziggy, Blizzard has stated that they won't be changing the Uber keys/mats requirement for Hellfire amulets, so farming them on 2.0.6/live is valid.

But I don't think it's a good idea to fight the ubers themselves, some elements of that part might change (like much better drop chances, making half of your attempts on live wasted... for example), keep that part for after 2.1 goes live.

It adds an additional passive skill slot. So that potentially makes it the best in slot amulet in the game I guess. But I don't plan on unslotting countess Julia's cameo amulet for hellfire amulet. Or the rare amulet I crafted that gives me 100% crit chance.

On t6 it is exactly a 50% chance for the keys and matts to drop. I can't wait to farm the keys today

this is best in slot for every character.   elemental dmg, main stat, crit chance / dmg, socket.  period.

Can passives Stack? If I use something like "Boon of Bul kathos" for reduced CDR, can I put that same skill on my passive bar and get its effects 2x?

I dont really feel like most people are actually going to do this... Its just much RNG. I mean, you have to farm the keywardens which MIGHT drop the keys you need, then you spend all four of those for ONE machine to kill a boss which MIGHT drop the matt you need and after you've done all of that a minimum of four times you can craft an amulet which MIGHT roll decent stats.
(If it was at least weighted towards being better than the average thing you could pick up in a rift i'd be more inclined to farm for it, but as far as i know it has the exact same stat parameters as any given legendary amulet, excluding the 5th passive which may or may not actually be worthwhile to you. Hell even if the passive's good you still can get bad enough rolls on everything else to make it useless.)
Edit: also, if the bosses had a 100% drop chance on the actual matts i would be totally fine with doing this. I dont mind farming for keys if i know they will get me a matt once i do, i just doing like farming my ars off for a chance at a chance to get a chance to roll good stats

so today i just played with this demon hunter and all his items have 3 socket in them on ps4. is that even possible? i mean everything from armor to rings, weapons amulet everything had 3 socket. was he a hacker or it is possible to do that?
