My Gear #1 KLiM Krios Pro what I like and what I don’t

The first in a series of one minute shorts briefly describing the pros and cons of the gear I use.

What I like:
The helmet is very light, one of the lightest adv helmets out there.
It's very stable in the air on a variety of bikes at different speeds
Magnetic Chin strap
Construction
Washable interior

What I don't like
The vent in the mouthpiece of the helmet easily gets jammed with dust
The first 'crack' of the helmet visor is too big, letting in too much air.

In a few seconds you give the info we need, I was considering this, still am. The visor 1st crack isn't great for uk weather. We don't worry about dust very often though

I love mine as well, but for the price it should absolutely come with a speaker cutout! I should not have to modify this level of helmet to accommodate helmet speakers in 2023! That being said, I love almost everything else about it.

If I wasn’t so broke I’d get a Klim helmet and Klim gear. I’ve purchased gear and after awhile it just breaks down and I have to buy new stuff but I did buy some used Klim gear (Jersey & Pants) and they’re awesome! I’d love to try some of their new Dakar and Mojave stuff and replace my old Shoei RF-1200 that I got second hand but in like new condition but no peak.

But I know one thing is that if you make Nugget stickers I will absolutely buy some! Nugget is priceless!

Would be the perfect dual sport/Adv helmet if it had the secondary tinted visor.

Excellent Dave I've been waiting for your take on these and the Klim jackets, I've decided they are the way to go. What would you say is the next closest to the Klim Krios? The ARAI?

I wanted one of these because of the weight, but on first try, realised it doesn’t fit my head shape.

Went with an Airoh Carbon adventure helmet and am super happy. Same super light weight, but with additional features such as tinted inner visor.

Can you use the Klim goggles and the visor at the same time?

I hear the face hole is good too 😂😂 thanks heaps. Straight to the point on what’s good and what’s not great. Now I just need to find a supplier in New Zealand to see if I can get one to fit my big watermelon 😅😂😂

Dave, how is yours noise wise at highway speed? I took mine for its maiden (two hour round trip) with earplugs in and three days later my hearing still hasn't returned to normal.
Im remaining optimistic and will try again with some better plugs, but geez my ears took a hell of a beating.

I really do not like it when it is raining while above 25 degrees Celsius. The visor complete gets damp. So you have to ride with the visor up. Not funny on the autobahn while Audi's, Mercedes and BMW's ride atleast 180 kph although it is raining cats and dogs.
Never had that before. My three Shuberts stayed very clear. For the rest it is a great helmet. Although occasionally the magnetic locks gets loose while riding.

Do you find it noticeably louder than other premium adv lids?

I don't think you can find Klim gear in Europe easily, which is a pity because it's obviously a great brand.

Magnetic chin strap will fail you in a crash, this has already been tested time and time again and the buckle ALWAYS wins.

I dont like to pay so much for premium when it's made in china.
