They Threw 12000 Tons Of Orange Peels In The Forest 16 Years Later They Were Shocked By The Results

It was a usual bright day in the Guanacaste Conservation Area located in Costa Rica. The year was 1997. The animals and plants were thriving here and had never looked better. That was when out of nowhere many trucks appeared approaching the forest from far away. These trucks made their way along the track and surprisingly dumped the cargo they were carrying in the middle of the Conservation. They left as quickly as they had arrived. Confusing right!
The cargo they dropped was even more puzzling. It wasn't some sort of waste or dumpster content, instead these trucks had unloaded orange peels. Over the coming year, more than a thousand trucks drove in to this beautiful natural reserve and dumped a whopping 12,000 metric tons of orange peel in this place. Was someone trying to vandalize the Conservation? Were they trying to destroy the natural habitat in some way or was it a plan to destroy the natural elements using a natural deterrent in order to urbanize the area?
Well, we've done some homework to find out the strange story behind this clash between man and nature and in doing so have come across many similar ones too.

Luv the vid only thing is I did it to my plants, many yrs ago I lost all my plants to corroded mud n one day I simply decided I'll start burrying banana, apple n orange peels under my plants mud, n few days later I saw really small insects in my plants mud. After few days the insects were gone, then I planted new seeds of flowers in that mud n voila I had the most fertile mud n beautiful plants with unbelievable growth of flowers in em n they were really big in size as well.

Plus d-limonene was considered a waste product at the time. I know because I was buying drums and drums to cheapen citrus fragrances. Now everyone is doing that, and d-limonene costs about the same as orange oil. It was a great, relatively non-toxic solvent and degreasing agent. The bike shop switched from turpentine to d-limonene when I was doing perfumery. D-limonene was removed from citrus oils, usually orange oil, when it was folded to make 5x or 10x.

I'm really surprised it didn't poison the ground since oranges are known to have a flammable gas. If you strike a match next to an orange peel and then squeeze it Flames will jump out.
