"I think I feel a lot of fear generally"

Nikita is a breath of fresh air. What a gentle, well spoken, considerate human. I liked how he matched everyone's energies to make them feel safe. Like when he saw how visibly distressed the girl with tryphophobia was and immediately covered up the object.

cardigan lady is clearly such a sweet person and good mum. she tells people to be proud of themselves, doesn't purposefully scare them, is sensitive to their feelings, and overall seems so kind

I love Nikita! He’s a big, Russian, comedian, man and yet he’s so soft spoken, respectful, gentle and approachable. I’ve seen him in other CUT videos online and he’s just so nice. Not as stereotype of any kind. So neat! I wish he was my friend.

0:30 the way he pretended to be so chill at the start and then was the most scared guesser is fucking hilarious

i feel so sorry for the girl whose parents threatened her with newspaper. surely that further induced her trauma and she has so much to work through to get over it. i hope she can overcome her fear someday. much love to her

"I shouldn't laugh at peoples phobias, but this phobia is hilarious!" I love this man. His energy is my LIFE.

I hope the person with tryphophobia overcomes their fear. It seems like it affects them alot in their day to day life

The poor girl who was afraid of the smell of newspapers, her story of her parents honestly broke me. It's not the fact her parents punished her, it's the fact they used their own child's specific phobia to threaten and use against her. It's how phobias start or grow more intense as we age.
I have a similar story with bridges or going over large bodies of water, my dad would violently shake the car or drive without caution when going over them as a way of getting back at me or just as a joke.
I think my point is, it's okay to punish bad behavior but using something that's special and obviously shouldn't be used willinging around a child shouldn't be a considered punishment.

I love how each guesser was very respectful and also how you can literally see that these objects made each person genuinely uncomfortable…great line up

To me, typophobia isn’t as “weird” as others may think it is. It makes complete sense to me why people would have this phobia. Clusters of small things resemble rashes/disease, eggs of dangerous insects that could cause said rashes and diseases, and they also resemble the aposematic signals (AKA danger signals animals have on their skins/exoskeletons to warn others that they are venomous.)

I personally don’t have trypophobia, but I totally get why certain humans are hardwired to react with aversion to this danger signal.

as someone with trypophobia, I can't really answer questions like "how" and "why". Because I don't know, I just don't like it and it gives goosebumps every single time

all these guessers were so sweet.

nikita had this caring, gentle vibe to him

coach has this bright personality and it seems he knew how to make anyone smile

nikita is probably the first guy in these videos to truly understand how to deal with someone having a phobia when you are holding the thing they are afraid of. Calm, soft spoken, friendly, careful, doesn't try to push it into people's faces... just a considerate human, good job

I wish they'd have explained why trypophobia is a thing. It's a residual instinct and the reaction is based on the fact that things in nature with that pattern are/were often diseased/infected etc.

It’s crazy because they confront their phobia THREE times in one day. That’s instense!

Hi people!

My name is Andrea & I’m the gal in the video with trypophobia!
I skipped my part since I’m assuming they show the thing.

Thanks to all who have been extremely empathetic and understanding of this phobia. I wish I could say it’s just a “disgust” reaction but unfortunately it’s far deeper than that. I don’t know how to explain it or the why behind it for me, but as far as I can remember seeing clusters of holes TERRIFIES me. It’s been debilitating at times and it does affect areas of my life.

To all who have this phobia (or any phobia really), I send you positive vibes and thoughts. ✨❤️
I hope you find people who treat you with sympathy and patience!

& to all who don’t understand my phobia or any of the others, please remember that phobias present in many different ways to many different people. Most of the time we ourselves are aware that our phobias seem irrational or “silly” but we didn’t choose the way our body, mind and hearts react to things that scare us.

BE KIND. 💫

I just love that the three guessers were really kind and respectful about the phobias. Nikita and Nicole did great on achieving a trusting ambient for everyone, and Gigs had a great charisma

Unlike the other video, with the guy going "I'M GOING TO CURE YOUR PHOBIA OF FISTS BY PUNCHING YOU IN THE FUCKING FACE"
