I am with Mayo.
While doctors across the U.S. are refusing medicare and taking only Advantage, Mayo takes Medicare/Supplements. They know what they are doing, as far as I am concerned.

More like, it would negatively impact their bottom line, not access to care. Let them take their project elsewhere. If they can afford a billion dollar project, they can afford better working conditions for their nurses and better care for their patients. I've heard nothing but extremely negative stories about them in recent years anyway, from patients who have sought diagnoses there and been VERY dissatisfied with their experience. They are NOT the Mayo clinic of old. LET THEM GO.

The bill is more than just staffing measures...it also tags $15 million dollars for student loan forgiveness and mental health programs for nurses, which most bargaining agreements that the MN Nurses Assn represents already have tuition reimbursement as well as great healthcare and Employee Assistance benefits..

So what it sounds like here is that we have to look at the picture and not just the frame it appear that they won't be able to maintain a profitable business if they have to adhere to this new bill which reminds all of us that health Care is a business and that narrative needs to change.

My goodness people r so slow, what r u talking “about profits and they are a business” they are a non profit, mayo clinic is a non profit!!! A non profit should not be concerned about profits! There is no bottom line, there r no shareholders, they just need to break even and make their operational costs and maybe the revenue for projects. Healthcare affordability is not a red or blue issue, last time I checked 95% of Americans cannot afford the healthcare costs, mayo is just acting as a lobbyist for their friends in corporate health.
