This feels like a nostalgic warm embrace. The magic happens within those excellent guitar strings which bounce, drift, pan, elevate, and reverberate with such excellence. Whoever mastered this song, definitely knew what they were doing: It's, as if, either Robin Guthrie or Simon Raymonde worked on this masterpiece. Just Beautiful ― !!!!

At long last a Tim Smith masterpiece. Looking forward to the new album. Would love to see Tim play live again someday, I have memories of some truly magical Midlake performances & Tim was of course the main man. Not sure that he will though.

Why do all guitars on this album sound so wrong at the beginnings? Is ist on purpose?

I think the chorus pedal guitar is a bad choice. It sounds like bedroom guitars. Saved by Tim's vocals. I expect stick for this. Fair enough. It's only my personal opinion.
