I loved this video! I find that when companies try to “modernize” their designs it’s their way of making it more generic to a larger audience and sacrifices soul for more fans… the older tank française is absolutely stunning🤩

I have mine in gold and stainless steel with the automatic movement
One thing I love about it is the bracelet and the date at 6 o’clock

Sophie I just wanna say thank you. I had seen the TF and it never appealed to me. I liked the santos Dumont more but hate how it attracts so many scratches. Living in miami I prefer a bracelet because of the humid weather. Doing research on the tank must, I bump into your video. I love the bracelet of the old version waaaay better and it looks so damn good. Thank you once again for opening my eyes to a model I normally would have dismissed. I also love that you don’t see it so often in the wild like you would tank must, Louis, and panteire.

Hello, very informative video, can I ask about exact dimensions of your watch. I have recently purchased steel version model 2302 and it appears smaller than yours, the bracelet also seems thinner. I’m worried it’s a super fake 😮

I have just ordered a discontinued Cartier Francaise Tank Large after watching your video. Like you I think that the new version just doesn’t look as good, or hold on to the original concept. Thanks for the very informative video. Oh! and you rock the watch! Thanks 😊

Wow, I couldn't agree more. I hadn't taken a close look at the new Tank française before. They really messed up here. I think every single change they made takes something away when you compare it to the original. Which imo was the most elegant iteration of the whole Tank family besides the classic Tank Louis (and its cheaper variants). Btw, I think one can say the same thing about the "new" Tank Must when compared to the discontinued Tank Solo, which it replaced. The changes between those two models are much subtler, you really have to look closely to see that they are not just identical designs. But again, once you see the differences, I think none of the changes was an improvement.

I loved this video! I absolutely agree with you on the cartier tank, i love the older version, and i'm truly not a fan of the new model. I think Cartier made a huge mistake "re-designing" the tank.
