Yo team! A quick correction: the back panel is actually ceramic and not glass, which is why they can't do a frosted/matte back. That said, I'd still prefer a glass back that was frosted, compared to the glossy ceramic we have...

I was kinda surprised that you actually prefer the miui software over one ui, as I've seen alot of YouTubers preferring one ui instead. But then again, it all comes down to personal preference. I'm also getting to love miui software, as I can't help but notice Xiaomi's effort on trying to improve on the user experience with different iterations being released.

Just to correct you, the Mi 11 doesn't have the IP68 rating, Ultra does

Both phones don't have 1P68 ratings. Only the MI 11 ULTRA is IP68 certified. It also has a Ceramic Back not glass.

The back is ceramic on the ultra mate, which is arguably the more premium material. Still would prefer a frosted back though

You glossed over the main sensor which is arguably the main selling point of this phone. Yes a good ultra wide and telephoto are good to have but the main sensor is the one that is special on this phone. It’s massive compared to just about every other phone on the market which makes for amazingly well lit photos, especially when in less than optimal lighting conditions. I’m pretty tempted to buy it but I’m nervous because the last time I tried to switch back to android from iOS with the Note 20 Ultra, I just couldn’t get over how bad the software was. MiUI looks like it’s pretty good although I still have some questions. Does the calendar app sync with outlook/exchange? When you set a headphone volume limit, does it annoy you with warnings every time you turn the volume up to max? Does the default photos app sync with OneDrive or does it force you to use xiaomi’s services? Does it show music and volume controls on the Lock Screen when listening to music or do you have to unlock the phone and navigate to the music app? Did you experience any glitches or bugs with miui and how long do they guarantee software and security updates? Cheers

I’ve been an Apple user whole my life and have recently decided to switch to Android. I don’t want a Samsung for personal reasons and have trouble finding a good alternative.

I first considered the OnePlus 9 Pro but with all the bad news going on recently, I’m probably gonna dodge that.

This phone however has caught my attention but it’s hard to get where I live. I’d have to import it which brings its own set of implications.

So far I love everything about the phone except the UI. How could I change this to make it look more smoother like in this video?

for the back display, it also can be used for answering phone calls & read messages tho. its not gimmicky
