I've been fascinated with 3D printing, for a VERY long time!
But...
I could never take the leap, because the machines were expensive, unreliable, and I didn't want to spend the time to learn CAD.
Fast-forward to now, and things are different, VERY different!
Been watching a lot of videos, and researching the new 3D printers, and came to the conclusion, that the Flashforge 5M Pro was a perfect fit!
And thanks to your video, I just ordered one!
I also subscribed, when you blessed your viewers.
God is good, and to hear it in a video, is AWESOME!

Great review! Thank you. I just bought this. While waiting for delivery I’ve been trying to learn as much as I can. I’m excited to try this. I am feeling more and more confident in my decision to spend a little more on the pro for my first printer. It seems like this will be a great machine to learn on. Thanks again. Very informative

Hey I have the standard 5M, and I love it, I had a Geeetech Mizar S before it that was frustrating, I'm so glad I switched to the 5M.
Edit: When the run out sensor stops the print, I just load filament in the tube without cutting off the old one, and feed it by hand till the extruder grabs it not wasting any filament.

You can put klipper firmware on the printer (Both official and community). In doing that you CAN change the the filament runout macro to keep printing after a detection for awhile.

Good choice of library book. I hear the author is pretty knowledgeable.

I joined 5M Facebook group to get some insight how they worked. I haven't bought this printer yet ;)

It seemed that software updates were causing most trouble, printer (sometimes) needing almost Konami-sequence of resets and initial routines and power-offs to work. Maybe it's caused by variation in hardware, too little memory for _proper_ Klipper or something else.

Sometimes printer and printing were a bit of hit-or-miss with occasional chance for nozzle clogs (how do you clean it?), but that's the case with any cheap printer - sometimes you get a lemon (though you can't make lemonade - or money straight back - out of it).

Hi, I have a Creality ender3 s1 pro printer, I don't have any problems with small prints, but when I want to print large prints, it says communication with the MCU is lost at different times and the printing process stops, when I want to continue from where it left off, it starts from the wrong position. Why does this machine give an error with large prints, I searched the internet and couldn't find much information that would be useful for me. I talked to a service and they told me that this could be due to overheating of the sonic pad, stepper or motherboard. I don't know what to do. Do you think cooling the steppers could be a solution, if you have published a video about this, I couldn't find it unfortunately. I would be very happy if you could give me advice. Unfortunately, I don't have enough technical knowledge on these issues. 😞

With the Standard costing $299 with $120 in add ons (fan, camera, acrylic panels, carbon/hepa filters and filament to enclose it) makes it have the same specs as a PRO. I can't justify the PRO $80 is quite a few spoils of filament and you can color customize your enclosure. Both Great Machines but $299 vs $499 or $419 vs $499. Pro is off my list. I have the Standard (modified) and I LOVE it.

Hi. I‘m not sure to choose between this 5M Pro and the Bambo Lab P1S.
Don’t have any experience in 3D Printing.
I want to print heat- and UV-Light resistant parts out of ASA and TPE for use outdoors.
Not interested in fiddling around.
Would love to use my iPad for creating and printing.
Which should I go for?
I‘m in 2D plotting with a Cricut Explorer 3. Good Hardware but the App drives me nuts and the system tries to drive you into an subscription model. Don’t want to experience this again.

Does the front glass door have to attached, or can you leave it off? I have limited room.

I got the non pro as my first printer and I’m super happy with it. Some quirks but it’s a workhorse!

The adventurer 5 is probably a great printer, but from my experience with my adventurer 3, the rim around the nozzle would get filament stuck to it. This caused filament to be dragged around the print, causing major issue with print quality. If the adventurer 5 has the same nozzle as the adv3, I don’t think it will be a good idea

My Qidi Tech X Plus 3 does the same thing when changing filament. You have to remove the tube and cut the filament and then it extrudes it out. It didn't initially do that. You still had to cut it and then it would retract it back out. My guess doing the new method insures there is no filament left in the nozzle.

10:45 the prusa xl works the same and the count down would be good. I currently stand there and feed in a new roll to avoid the approx 3-4feet or 1-1.2 m of filament waste.

Yes, it'd be easy to count the steps sent to the extruder if you knew the distance between the extruder and the filament runout sensor, It is the wrong sensor though. It should have movement detect instead of presence. If the filament breaks between the sensor and the hot end (and it does on these core x-y stile printers), the printer just continues. A runout/movement sensor would be much better. Can this be changed to have one? Is the code available to allow this upgrade?

What about dimensional accuracy correction locked so you have to jail brake it? And how does it print asa, nylon, abs the plastics that internal fan cycle mode is meant to turn into heated chamber?

Did you have to use the glue stick for every single print? Have you tried anything other than petg?

Best price to performance printer on the marked in my opinion. It´s cheaper that the Creality and overall a better printing experience with easy swap nozzles, loading and unloading filament is way better, thy have really created a great product.
