I love that Sarah doesn’t have any issues with Carlo’s sister being his other half. So many significant others think it’s okay to get in between familial relationships and as someone who’s extremely close with my siblings it’s so comforting when you find a partner that lets you nourish those relationships.

The fact that you can accept and most importantly LOVE the relationship between your husband and his sister is a beautiful thing. You’re a good wife. I know of people who would think that Carlo and Rita being so close is weird, because their own families are not loving so they don’t understand, and this can cause a lot of issues in a marriage. When I was in my early 20's I was stationed in Naples Italy for 2 years. While there I fell in love with a wonderful Italian girl. Being dumb and young I screwed up the relationship when I was transferred. I turn 50 this year and still wear her ring on a necklace to remind myself of the biggest mistake in my life.
