I love how timeless the fountain pen design is!

I have an old, mystery Waterman Fountain Ideal pen (dip) that belonged to my great-grandfather. The nib only says Waterman and has a star engraved but nothing else. How or where I can get more information? Please.
As an added detail, it was kept in a Swan Fountain Pen Leather sleeve that seems very old.

After a year or so of ownership, suddenly i started loving my 52V. I think it is from the '40s? Maybe I'll leave it permanently filled with Platinum Classic Sepia Black...

Pardon question can a Pelikan ink be use on this Waterman 52 pen or I have to buy a Waterman, Pilot or other ink for it?
