The “general release” version of the 1906 is 1906R - for running like you said. But for the Refined Future Pack version of the 1906 (featured in this video), it is 1906D for distressed. Gotta love the D! PAWS!

Having been into New Balance for about a year now have a bunch of pairs. Tried 2002r's on today for the first time and I have to say the comfort and fit is up there with the best that NB has to offer. In fact for me personally I think the 2002r is the comfiest fitting shoe from New Balance.

1906 midsole uses Acteva Lite, while the 2002 uses Abzorb for its midsole. Therefore, their midsoles are not the same. Some say Acteva Lite is firmer than Abzorb. Many reviewers have been incorrect about the midsole material because New Balance website has been confusing.

1906 is a way more comfortable model in my opinion, picked up a pair last month and been wearing them non stop. Tried on the 2002r a few times and just didn’t feel right (even though its the same sole) compared to 990s.. but i love these LOL

Just got my first pair of 2002r today, so comfy and stylish. They have rope laces though so I may look for flat laces. Still fire shoes.

I'm in my 40s and only ever worn nike's the invincible run 2 my last shoe thanks to your videos I picked up the more v4 and love it. I feel nike tech is good but the looks aren't there. NB has better colorways and love the looks of these and the 990s.
