Cut the Crap. Episode #1. Is the Nothing Phone really designed to be planet-friendly?

Показать описание
Let's face it, many of us would love to buy a new phone, but seldom do we pause and think about what is going to happen to the old one when we sell it off or throw it away. The impact our consumption of new phones has on the planet can shock you. So to solve it, many new phone companies are manufacturing their phones using recycled products (literally from old phones) and reengineering their processes to cause the least harm to the planet.
With 'Cut The Crap', TikaoTV & @WastedRo aims to drown the white noise around sustainability, dive deep into claims brands make about their planet-friendly products, and give consumers a clear picture basis three questions -- 'Is it Good For Me?', ' Is it Good For the Planet?', 'Is it a Fair Price?'
In this episode, WastedRo takes a closer look at the sustainability claims made by Nothing Phone. But first, she takes the user through the lanes of Lamington Road, Mumbai, and speaks to legacy store owners who say they are permanently on snooze; as the new-age consumer has switched to 'use and throw' as opposed to 'repair and reuse'.
'Nothing' - is a phone brand that is hell-bent on making tech fun again. But should you go for the newly released Model 2.0? WastedRo looks beyond the utterly cool fun glyphs feature that comes with this device, to explore their sustainability report for utmost transparency. Find out what she recommends.
