Anyone who has paid attention to Putin’s rise to power saw this coming. He’s been anti democracy and willing to take military action for years. I think Romney was trying out a bit of platform at the time, very Reagan-esque platform, but it did turn out to be prophetic.
Well done to CNN for drawing attention and crediting Romney; admitting someone else was right and admitting to being in the wrong is a trait that used to be common among American adults. Nice to see it’s making a comeback.

He has been right about Nuclear Iran as well. Maybe pay attention this time?

I am so happy that there are still a few right of center politicians who aren't batshit crazy. Mr. Romney and I see some issues from a different perspective, but we would be able to have a civil discussion, agree on some points, agree to disagree on others, and part, without parting shots. It would be nice to see a few more Republicans than him return to civility. And yes, his view on Russian politics was prescient!

Russia is actually not so close to US, and what is happening now is NOT in America but against one of our allies. America is not directly affected geopolitically, but through proxy of being a NATO headbearer so to say.
