The sound is normal. In your fork are valves where the oil rushes trough. With this valves you can adjust the rebound. The sound comes from the oil rushing trough these valves

I hate all bike suspensions as they make the drive too easy. I was a BMX guy. Since 27 years I use my GT Zaskar LE w/o suspension but only 8, 1kg weight.
