Abuse of Power: Vans Sidestripe Sessions | VANS

Показать описание
This week’s session features music by Atlanta-based hardcore band, Abuse of Power. From their album, 'What On Earth Can We Do', Abuse of Power performs two songs; “May 1st" and “What On Earth Can We Do" accompanied by art created by Evan Mendel.
Over the past three years, Atlanta's Abuse of Power has been creating their distinct and innovative approach to hardcore music. During that journey, the five-piece has managed to push the typical standards and boundaries of the genre. After releasing demos and a 5-track EP, When Then Becomes Now in 2017; Abuse of Power has dropped their debut full-length album, What On Earth Can We Do via Triple B Record.
The relentless 9-track LP showcases an exploration in the hardcore scene; each note deliberate and impactful. Online music haven Brooklyn Vegan praised the album's variety by saying, "On top of having crisp, modern production that stops it from ever sounding retro, this 9-song LP can touch on anything from Rollins-era Black Flag to Revolution Summer-era Dischord to chugging '90s hardcore to emo-leaning hardcore like Lifetime to no-frills '00s melodic hardcore like Modern Life Is War."
Abuse of Power is set to play a string of shows this July in the US and Europe. What On Earth Can We Do is available for purchase via Bandcamp.
Vans Sidestripe Sessions Season 2 is a global series celebrating collaboration, diversity, and expression through music and art. The two-song sessions feature performances from Vans' extended family of musicians; backdropped by original art installations from emerging artists. Each session is unique in sight and sound.
