of important note, the goobbue is not awarded to legacy players, we got it IN 1.0. and used it to block the city entrances so that we would be aggroed by any beasts that drew close and then the hoard of players would tear them down.

The legacy chocobo, tattoo, and sub discount is our ARR legacy reward. So even if you are a legacy player, if you didn't do the wandering minstrel's quest in 1.0 to get the goobbue, that particular model with the carpet is unattainable to you.

The hilarious part of this story is that it wasn't so much a "defense", as it was players steamrolling through anything and everything the developers spawned.

The Great Goobbue wall is one of my favorite "events" that happened because of a few players that had a fun idea.

The gobble found with all the vines and stuff has his own story though, during the calamity the gobble wanted to save as many seeds and flora as he could and so he took them down from the mountain however he was un-Alived on his way down and died in the clearing you find him in. The Seeds on his body then sprouted and multitudes of flora can be found around his death site. I forget what yellow quest tells you that but it is in east than

that goobbue also has one of the most annoying timing/weather combinations for the ARR sightseeing log.

I was on the free trial in 2018 so doing that giant FATE inside ul'dah as lvl 35... I spent most of the time on the floor. It was such a cool event, would be fun for them to re-create it one of these years!

i remember this :) its why i love mmo, like sure devs can make good content but player made content can be equally good. More so if devs see it and give it recognition
