Hi pj I brought the same sort of radio plug and play Apple play ect installed perfectly worked fine then got and st steering wheel and airbag installed the new steering wheel but the air bag was the correct one for the wheel so didn’t bother swapping the old one back and drove the car with out the air bag airbag warning light was on and I don’t know if it’s gone into limp mode but now it won’t start at all I didn’t disconnect the battery to start with have I fried the battery or blown the fuses as now even with a jump nothing is working no lights on dash when ignition on ect please is there anything I can do to try and solve this issue with taking to garage or calling someone out

How did you feed the wires through? Did you have to remove glove box, I need to install sat nav ariel on top of dash but can't find anywhere to feed cable through. On this exact car

Did the car have steering wheel controls for the radio? Mine does and I was wandering if it means more troubles when installing a new one.

I’ve taken my original 6000CD radio out of my 2007 c-max and now I have no lights on my dash, tail and front sidelights . Could this be to do with removing the deck?

Hello. Good video, thanks. I'm looking to change he radio in my 2005 Ford Focus Ghia. I can't currently stream music but as the car already has a bluetooth stereo for phone calls, it's got mics up in the roof. Will a new bluetooth radio automatically use those mics already installed in the car when I connect it up? Thanks, Jamie

I've done the same replacement with a sony xav ax1000 touchscreen stereo, works like a charm, however I've only just noticed the rear speakers dont work since I made the upgrade. The radio itself has dedicated sockets for the rear speakers on the back of the unit, but with only the one main cluster of wires to connect from the car I'm scratching my head what to do to fix it? They worked fine with the original 6000CD radio using the same main clip of wires as you showed in the video. Any ideas where I've gone wrong?

I’m trying to install an aux cable into the back of a 6000cd radio as the one already has stopped working (aux port located in centre console in front of hand break) I have the cable and removed radio, I have removed white connector and went to install new cable after having to remove black plastic clip around new one but doesn’t seem to work I’m I doing something wrong please help

Great video. What cage did you use and how did you connect it to the stereo?

I got an Atoto stereo which is Chinese but standard 7” screen and size. Got all the connection and more need to fit it with a cage

Hi, only part i need to see you didnt show. cage fitting! does it just slide in or are there mounting screws / brackets? got an Xtron's double din but wont sit stable in the dash.

PJ brilliant video thanks. I came across it as I have a couple of issues with my 07 C Max, that I was looking for information on and you seem like you know your onions when it comes to a C Max. 1: My 2 rear speakers have stopped working. I can't imagine the cable has come loose on the back of the radio, based on the plug you show in the video and I would ordinarily be reluctant to think that both speakers had blown, independently of each other. Is there a fuse or other common component to the rear speakers or am I looking at removing the door cards on both back doors? 2: My right rear tail light, led version, has stopped working. To replace the light cluster is approx €100, so I thought if I swapped the left with the right, I could confirm the fault, but now I'm even more confused! The left works fine on the left, but not on the right, which leads me to the following conclusions, either the wiring is different for left and right lights or the rear light and wiring loom are both faulty!!! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Simon.
