I mean, if you compare a literal armored tank like Gordon that has slaughtered your entire family of fellow headhumpers. Your probably gonna want to get on that real quick and abandon your crappy previous meatsack. So this is actually kinda cool in the way that it shows the intelligence of a headcrab.

I often forget when it comes to the zombies of Half-Life, it’s the head crab you’re killing, not the host.
And while the host is alive, they’re not in control.

I wonder how the game artists made these things in 2004. A mod with more detail would look amazing but probably run slow. I heard that the Source engine uses the CPU not GPU for graphics a lot so that is why speed is the same across many many computers with amazing new GPUs. I get higher and more stable FPS in newer games because of this.

0:39 Shows a pretty cool idea where every single poison headcrab hops off, creating a much more dangerous "bomb" of headcrabs for you to deal with. Really could add a sense of urgency to kill poison zombies before they fill the room with 'em.
