_"It's easier to love someone else than it is to be kind to yourself"_ -- that hits too hard.

I may be a little biased as a Canadian.

But this band (and Dallas green) is severely and criminally underrated.

"This song is about hanging onto hope during the heaviest times. Healing and letting go. Dreaming of a future where all this hurt is behind you.”
-Wade MacNeil. Alexisonfire guitarist, when asked about the meaning of his lyrics.

I wish they could do more sad songs, they're so talented it.
" When you got Dal in your band, you let him sing sad songs. "

I feel like this is their "Rough Hands" song for the new album and I am so here for it. What a powerhouse of a band. So happy they're back. #theonlybandever

To me this is by far the best song Alexisonfire has ever created. The melancholy, the emotion, the sorrow... incredible. Just incredible.

No matter how much praise Dallas gets, the world will never appreciate his voice enough. Beyond legendary 🙏

I will never not enjoy a song with a mix of layered screaming and singing like at 3:20

One of Dallas’ best songs

It’s easier to love someone else than it is to be kind to yourself, ever since my daughter were born it changed my life. I were so self destructive. Thank you for the reminder and putting it into words brothers

I cannot begin to describe the emotions I have towards this song. The first time I heard it, something inside of me resonated and clicked. I’ve become so attached to it; the lyrics, the melody, everything. It’s the perfect AOF song. It’s so powerful and strikes a deep chord inside and just. Wow. I’m blown away with it every time I listen to it. This album is going to be AMAZING.

The tingles down my back when Dallas signed off with that last chorus. Man's voice is something else, my lord.

This is already the most emotional and beautiful song of 2022

Beautiful song. The only negative is how high the bar is now set for the rest of the album. I trust you guys will get it right!

🤘 Lyrics🤘

These days won't last
This too shall pass
The pain won't linger on
Through dust and dark
The seed, the spark
Crying in this lonely parking lot

It's easier to love someone else
Than it is to be kind to yourself
What's harder then is to let someone in
You loved me when I couldn't love myself
I couldn't love myself

Where you end, I begin
Where you end, I begin
Where you end, I begin
Where you end
I begin again, I begin again

Your smell on my sheets
Haven't spoke a word in weeks
But I don't want to lie to you
It's been dark for days
Sans soleil
It's lonely in the city by myself

It's easier to love someone else
Than it is to be kind to yourself
What's harder then is to let someone in
You loved me when I couldn't love myself
I couldn't love myself

Where you end, I begin
Where you end, I begin
Where you end, I begin
Where you end
I begin again, I begin again

I'm glad you're here with me
At the end of all things
I'm glad you're here with me
At the end of all things

Where you end, I begin
Where you end, I begin
Where you end, I begin
Where you end, I begin again
I begin again, ooh, oh oh
I begin again, ooh oh oh
