Kala Brand Music Co. donated 3 ukuleles tuned in fifths, for the 4th annual Tenor Guitar Gathering in Astoria Oregon. Tenor guitars feature 4 strings and are tuned in fifths (i.e., C-G-D-A). In this video, Mark Josephs, EZ Marc Poschman, and John Lawlor test drive the instruments, jam, and have a great time on the Columbia River in Astoria Oregon.

I love them. For the smaller ones though, they should also be tuned in G, D, A & E, just like the standard mandolin and the violin. And a fourth higher than that: C, G, D & A. Plus if possible, one octave higher than the standard mandolin tuning for the even smaller ones. Finally, when it comes to the Ubass, they should also be tuned in fifths: C, G, D & A, and a 5 string version also tuned in fifths; low F, C, G, D & A.
