Ash Barty is probably the first #1 player with no drama, not overly market, she is just out there doing her business...

This is much more interesting match compared to Raducanu. Ashleigh Barty will crush Raducanu easily

Ash has significantly improved her service game, starting at Wimbledon. It's the last piece of the puzzle in her game. Previously, her serve was almost separate from her general game. She would often not serve well, with low first-serve percentages, but still win. Now she's using her heavier first serve to set-up points along with hitting more aces, and earning more free points. She just needs to further strengthen and integrate her service game into her general game moving forward to stay #1. As John McEnroe once said, 'if I'm serving well, I'm playing well'.

There's something about Bronzetti's playing style. How she sets up the shot, her movement on and across the court, it's just too much. Feels a bit exaggerated, the arching, etc. Barty on the other hand, elegant, graceful and purposeful. I hope she does well this year!

This shows the *REAL* Grand Slam champion performs(as well as Osaka). Not too conceited(!), unassuming, no hindrances, and doesn't celebrate double fault of opponents, and not 💪💪💪

Barty reminding me a bit of late 90s/early 200s Hingis. Just looks so superior in her craft, and court awareness - so balanced and technically proficient.

Barty's a lot like Halep five years ago, but with better mental fortitude and more diversity in her game. A lot of players look at her and think they're just going to move her around and overpower her until they actually get on court with her and realize that that's what she's doing to them. I don't see her winning the AO, but whoever beats her is going to have to bring it to her.

She’s gonna win, no doubt. But we’ll see.

Inspite of a severe tennis lesson and great gap (not only in terms if ranking) Bronzetti played a good tournament.. She's a new hope for italian women tennis

Barty is playing so well. It will be stupid to bet against her.

If barty can overcome Osaka, I think she will win this year. If barty falls, I bet for muguruza, badosa, or osaka

what's up with that annoying grunt after hitting the ball???

Bronzetti must be sharing a coach with Sonego or it must be something in the Italian air that makes them both grunt only when the ball is about to bounce in their opponent's court. 🤷🏻

Why is bronzetti grunting 5 sec after hitting the ball? Dont get that at all

Bronzetti is gaming her grunts. She deliberately grunts out of sync with some of her strokes to throw the other player off. You can tell when her grunts are an actual effect of effort when she finishes a strong winner versus the bullshit grunts she gives off during a rally. (2:30 on, you can tell those were genuine grunts of effort.) That should be a player distraction penalty on her for that. Sharapova used to manipulate her grunts too, but she wasn't as blatant as Bronzetth. Ironically, expending mental resources for that dishonest strategy throws your breathing out of sync with your own breathing and will tire you out faster.Cheaters Never Prosper!

As usual, Barty has the easiest draw in the tournament. I wonder how far they are going to walk her in the tournament this time, probably up to the semifinals. Emma had a higher quality opponent and much better match. I know they thought that she was going to lose.
