The oil executives should have asked why did the democrat party controlled congress give themselves a pay raise?

Oil companies are in the business of oil and not making batteries.
Now if they want to broaden their product line sure they can make batteries.

One solution is for every American to invest in energy companies, or short them to earn enough gains to pay for their gas on a weekly basis. Then the "government" can tax the gains and invest in renewable energy. Does everyone win in that scenario? Oh wait the people that are struggling to pay for gas to get to work to create profit for companies to further economic growth and innovation may have a "hard time" participating in said cycle. However they might be able to if they were able to save just a little each month and get off "government assistance." How on earth would we set forth a path for them to do so?

When an oil executive tells you " Big oil does not control the price of oil or the price at the pump" YOU KNOW it is a big lie. In fact, it is true that the barrel price is determined by the market and strongly influenced by peculators. The final retail price may be up to the sation owner if privately owned... BUT wholesale price offered by oil companies is entirely set by oil companies and determines the end price... HE IS TECHNICALLY CORRECT and yet avoiding his responsibility. Let me ask him how low was gasoline at the pump when the price per Barrel went negative for a few days? Was it about 50-60cents/gal? WHY NOT?
How did Exon lose $22billion? They never dropped gas price to even near cost of production so it compensated for lower price per barrel?
