Laura Alipoon made this presentation on July 1, 2017 at the Roy Branson Legacy Sabbath School in Loma Linda, California.

She expanded on Chapter 2 in "Where Are We Headed? Adventism After San Antonio" by William G. Johnsson. It's title is "The Chosen: Exclusive or Inclusive."

She is an administrator in the Loma Linda University School of Allied Health Professions where she also provides leadership in campus-wide assessment and accreditation responsibilities.

Johnsson is a Seventh-day theologian specializing in the study of the New Testament who served as the editor of the "Adventist Review," the denomination's official journal for its own members, for many years.

SoCal Jody please re-watch the portion of the video that you think says LLU is in the beginning stages of talking about leaving the SDA church - NOT TRUE - I (the speaker) said that we are discussing intentionally remaining SDA. Dave Larson said that frequently (historically speaking) that it is the church who moves away from religious colleges/universities.

Merriment and laughter at the expense of the WO vote. Note the question was not anwered from the audience: The other side (no on WO) base their arguments on historical and theological basis. On what basis do we base our pro-WO arguments on? Silence. Silence. Silence. Next question. This SS group demands an answer: "inclusive or exclusive." So, if women select to submit to the World Church vote, we are exclusive. I would like to say to not submit to the World Church vote is exclusive. Although, I do not think the word Jesus often used when following his Father's wishes where he did not want to go -- submit -- is in this group's vocabulary or actions. The discussion and Larson's comment during Q&A on "Has LLU discussed leaving SDA" was enlightening. (answer: yes, beginning stages of discussion -- Larson: money based reason). I would say to watch this video before it is "wiped clean."
