How many guys was procreated with this classic...
And heaven's sake... What a magnificent voice... Geoff Tate could be a good voice actor if he's decided to retired, like John Bush.

This song makes me think of a wonderful musician I was in love with for 5 years. He committed suicide on valentine's day in 91. Somehow it was like a song from him to me. Love you Geoff.

I love that man. I heard it as I drove away from my toxic fiancé. It meant that no matter what, there’s someone looking over me. a round trip journey in my head...

It's a song I'm relating to my past and how much pain, trauma, I've caused as well as been through. The song for me is about a powerful change in mind, body, blood, soul, and spirit. Changing completely and wholely not just as a person but as a corporeal being. The song is extremely powerful and spiritual to me. Not in a textbook definition of a "religious" sense, but it's still a religious experience if that makes sense. This song came on the radio when I had finally had enough. I was heading home but I wasn't planning on getting home, I was going to be on the news that day I had sworn by it. But then this song came on, the Empire album was a big part of my childhood so hearing it was intensely nostalgic. But for once I listened to the lyrics and I realized what they meant as a whole. I never got the song but I still loved it for its lullaby like prowess. That night I got home and had a cry then did some research with trusted friends, allies, & what few family I trusted & had left in that circle. And I began to heal myself. I'm on month 9 now of getting better emotionally, it's extremely slow and painful but it's been long over due. That night I finally became the cycle breaker, and to anyone who sees or reads this forget that whole "It gets better (tm)" nonsense. While it does get better in a sense its never going to be perfect and that's fine! If you can get through one bad day you can get through the war zone years where nothing good is coming your way, especially once you know what you're doing. With the right people and right practices nearly anything can be dealt with. And if not, then remember there's always another tomorrow!
I'm not saying this as a religious person btw, tbh religion kinda annoys me lol, but I still know how to speak your language as it's pretty universal. Just know I'm a person too, and I've fucked up and been fucked up. But I'm getting a little bit better every few days. Just don't be hard on yourself and you'll be ok.

Why do they laugh when Geoff says "People have been buried to this song"? Is that funny?

Queensryche coming to Baton Rouge without Geoff Tate is going to turn out like an sparcely group of old ass mullets. Which I won't attend.
