I’ve use this as a teaching tool. I love this clip. I identify with Lucy as I am a recovering heroin addict. Now living in recovery for years, when most had given up on me, I had many loving “dogs” surround me and include me in their pack of compassion and solidarity. I’m so grateful and I love Lucy dearly. Indeed she is perfect!!

I hope that one day that all puppy mills across America will shut down. It is so stressful for dogs just to breed puppies. And most of all what happens to their puppies.

I adopted a dog rescued from a puppy mill. She had to learn how to walk on solid ground, long list of serious medical issues, how to actually have options, which she now enormously LOVES! Doggie door, fresh water, food, loads of beds and blankets, freedom to walk around and explore her yard with her family. She is now the happiest dog I have ever seen. I would have another twenty just like her. There is nothing more satisfying than giving a dog or any animal, the love and opportunities, they have never known, and watch them blossom into joyful creatures.
