Disneylands Lunar New Year party has begun, and you can bet we're there ASAP to try some of the new food and see what's going on. We've got two kiosks today, and two for next week. This week we're trying the Pork Bao and that weird mickey shaped hot dog pretzel thing. We've also got the highlights from the Lunar New Year procession!

the music in the lunar new year procession sounds like it was recycled from the mulan parade from about 20 yrs ago. nice to hear it again.

Food is Asian fusion or Pan-da-sian Express. There are some local Chinese restaurants nearby selling this food a lot cheaper without odd cross pollinating. You can put mustard on it.

Last year I tried some dumplings they had with black garlic dipping sauce, they were amazing I still think about them

I'm Chinese America and growing up I went to a lot of bakeries owned and operated by Chinese people and one of the buns I have seen often, as they label them, are hot dog buns. It does have the pickled green onion for taste, and I would get it as something like a quick small lunch. It's definitely an Americanized bun, but it's not out of the ordinary. Try going to places like 85C Bakery or Mitsuwa, in their market there's usually a little bakery.

We were in the queue at Luigi's when it closed and were the only guests who stayed while they reset it. It was our last ride and we love talking with castmembers so it was fun for us. When it started again we were the only ones on the ride, sat in the center car, and all of the empty cars were dancing around us! It was super magical!!!

I love the chinese new year dance at DCA I love the characters and it is rare to see mulan and mushu but i'm glad to see them and the three little pigs and it was so colorful and bright as well.
