btw if you can't find you addon with f3 search remember to enable the checkbox Developer Extras under Preferences -> Interface, and then maybe reload the addon.

Amazing tutorial!

One thing I'd like to emphasize - in case anyone missed it like I did - is that the Scripts file path in the preferences should be to the _enclosing_ directory of the 'addon' directory. Burrowing down into that directory will fail to register.

I enjoyed this tutorial enormously, but I'm left with a question - what is the benefit of creating a package/module format for the add-ons and tools?

Is the intention purely for a private internal pipeline - perhaps to enable the building of tools and operator options in one structure (centrally and dynamically for a production team)?

And if you wanted to share a tool or tools more widely, how would you distribute it in this format? I'm familiar with creating a single file add-on, and that's easy to distribute and install, but what is the procedure to install a package of tools in this format?
