From lawn to native oasis + Green Home features (Stefanie Pruegel, San Leandro)

Stefanie Pruegel shares how she transformed her large San Leandro yard from lawn to a garden containing over 100 species of California native plants, which is now a haven for bees, butterflies, and 25 species of birds. Stefanie also describes her many green home improvements, including heat pumps, solar panels and battery, insulation, and three 1,000-gallon rainwater catchment tanks.
