The G.O.A.T. of the sport in the sense that, when he was at it's best, he was simply untouchable. Just imagine Vylegzhanin and Teichmann, who were so many times behind Northug, if he wasn't there, the two of them would've been in the G.O.A.T. debate. Cologna was the only one of his generation, who was close to him. Watching the sport till this day bacause of Northug there will never be a more charismatic and at the same time phenomenally talanted athlete. The whole sport misses him, what a beast.
