For 1979, the special effects were AMAZING, which is probably why it was the most expensive movie ever made at the time. And I think it really has the spirit of Star Trek: exploration and discovery. Not only do they find a new and unique "alien", but they discover that the alien has the same goal of exploration and discovery. I get why most space movies has epic battles, but I think this was a Star Trek movie that needed to be made. I remember reading the novel when I was in middle school, and think about how cool it was when they discovered what V'GER really was.

Star Trek The Motion Picture Is An Awesome Paramount Pictures Children's Live Action Science Fiction Fantasy Action Adventure Family Blockbuster Movie Of All Time Back In 1979. This Is The Same Year As Disney's The Muppet Movie And Ian Fleming's Moonraker Both Released In Theatres As Well Too. Thanks Mate. X

It portraits an analogy about the longing of every human being to return to the source. Watch it!

The mistakes and the unfinished FX added to the Other-Worldliness for me as a lad of 12 years when I saw this on Christmas Day 1979 at an Indoor Mall in New Mexico. I think it was on the outskirts of Santa Fe🤔 but Oh I didn’t forget the Movie, and I missed the trailers, so I don’t even know what they were. It was Rated G. So I didn’t need my parents to watch it with me.

I will always refer to this as my first Adult Movie (I mean Adult in the best possible light and meaning.). I drank it in unlike any other movie I had seen before that.
